Was watching the free preview weekend of Discovery Channel Civilizations.  Caught the last part of an interesting piece on the Tampa Bay water project.  I found out that it contains the largest desalination plant in North America.  It also looked impressive as they were capturing as much rain water as possible (as opposed to just relying on wells), worked hand in hand with the  and also had a very advanced control of the entire water system.  It was good to see some technological innovation on something as important as drinking water, happening in North America.  I didn’t catch all the details from the program, but more details on the projects involved can be found here.
